Kitchen Gardeners International: Home-grown spaghetti

With the economy worsening, many new families are expected to grow their own spaghetti this year. This file footage from Switzerland shows just how productive spaghetti plants can be. What this 1957 film clip fails to capture are all of the exciting advances that have been made in the past 50 years in crossing these plants with various varieties of tomato and basil in order to grow pre-flavored pasta.
