In 2006, we reported on the troubling plight of Los Angeles' South Central farmers. Their gardens have since been plowed under, but their story lives on in the form of the Oscar-nominated film titled simply "The Garden." The film is being released nationwide in select theaters, perhaps one near you. Check it out if you can and use it as a way of organizing energy in your community on behalf of the gardening and good food cause.
