Kitchen Gardeners International is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "help people to connect with their food, the land, and each other". While still a seedling, we have already accomplished some notable "wonders":
creation of public, advertising-free resources on the internet for learning about and discussing
topics related to kitchen gardening, natural and pleasurable eating, and sustainable living.
successful public outreach and education efforts via a number of articles on sustainable and
healthy eating (written by us and about us) in major newspapers and through KGI's "Real Food"
celebrating kitchen gardens and kitchen gardeners in their many and diverse international forms
through activities such as Kitchen Garden Day and our regular profiles of kitchen gardeners from
around the world.
By joining KGI, you help to make activities like these possible. KGI enjoys the support - moral, financial, and in-kind - of a wide variety of people from over 35 countries. All members receive KGI's monthly electronic newsletter.
"Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders."
-Henry David Thoreau
